You stand at a controller with headphones on and learn the mechanics: cueing a track, finding the downbeat, matching tempo by ear, and moving the crossfader without the room noticing. Everyone gets hands on the gear rather than watching somebody else's hands on it.

Teens and adults both take to this, and it is one of the few classes where a fourteen-year-old will out-learn a parent inside twenty minutes. No equipment needed and no prior knowledge assumed. If you already mix at home, come and get your transitions cleaned up by someone who does it for a living.
