Family Paint Along

Everybody gets a stretched canvas, two brushes, and a palette of six colours. An instructor paints the same image at the front, one step at a time, and waits for the room to catch up before moving on. Nobody's version looks like the instructor's, which turns out to be the part people enjoy most.

No drawing ability required. The format exists precisely for people who say they cannot draw. Children from about seven up can follow the steps, and younger ones do fine painting whatever they want on a canvas of their own. Wear something you would not mind ruining.
