Chairs in a ring, a crate of hand drums and shakers in the middle, and a leader who sets one pattern going and then layers everyone else on top of it. It gets loud. Toddlers get a shaker, teenagers claim the djembes within about four minutes, and nobody is ever asked to solo.

This is the class for a family with a wide age spread, where a four-year-old and a fourteen-year-old both need somewhere to put their hands. No experience required and none expected. Bring ear protection for very young children if loud rooms bother them.
