Cultural Kitchen
Culinary · about 45 minutes
A family from the community takes the front of the room and cooks the thing they actually make at home: adobo, birria, kimchi jjigae, a curry, a stew that only ever had a grandmother's name for it. They talk while they cook, everyone tastes, and the recipe goes onto a card in whatever measurements they really use, including the ones that are just a handful.
Anyone can come and anyone can volunteer to teach. You do not have to be a trained cook, you only have to make one thing well. Navy families come from everywhere, which is the whole reason this class exists. Children are welcome and are usually the most honest tasters in the room.

This isn't a booking — nothing is scheduled yet. Telling us you're interested is what decides whether this class runs.
